Finance Manager ANZ

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at our base in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Reporting to and working closely with the New Zealand based Head of Finance ANZ, and working alongside qualified accountants, you will be afforded ample space for self-management. This business partnership role will support our Australian and New Zealand businesses, delivering robust and meaningful business and finance-related support to our region while also working with our US and EMEA-based corporate teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering excellence in business and operational planning
- Assisting the leadership team with strategic planning, including leading the preparation of our annual operating plan, quarterly and monthly forecasts
- Ensuring the provision of business unit and management reporting
- Management and control of business expenditures
- Responsibility, leadership and management of the AP and AR functions and team
- Working with the Head of Finance to manage cash, including cash forecasting and reporting, and managing FX risk
- Assisting the Head of Finance with risk minimisation
- Ensuring group audit requirements are met
- Managing the Accelerated Financial Reporting Management (AFRM) function
- Overseeing Assets, Inventory and associated costs
- Ensuring tax compliance
- Management of insurance requirements for the ANZ region
- Working cross-functionally, partnering with leaders in each area of the business
- Managing financial tools and training for the organisation
About you
We are looking for someone who has experience as a Finance Manager (or in a similar senior financial role) and is CA/CPA qualified. You’ll be an engaging leader with great communication and interpersonal skills and can interact with and explain finance information to a range of people. You aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo, are enthusiastic, inquisitive, highly ethical, credible, and are committed to continuous improvement.
You’ll:
- Ideally have had exposure to offshore reporting
- Have working knowledge of NZ and AU compliance, accounting, and tax law
- Be technically competent in finance systems and financial control
- Have experience in organisations undergoing growth and change
- Be able to maintain a sense of calm and have clarity of thought
- Be able to contribute both operationally and strategically
- Have tax, treasury, and risk management experience
